A beautifully patinated early piece commemorating Ludwig III's accession as King of Bavaria.  A wonderful milk chocolate brown patina with light greenish-caramel highlights. This piece is in an "As Cast" condition which, unfortunately, includes a slight rim casting flaw evident at 1:00 of the reverse.   Price has been adjusted to compensate for this slight defect.  Over all a wonderful piece that clearly shows Goetz' early period quality and influence by Renaissance art medal design.
