Obverse: "The hour of reckoning in Versailles' May 7th' 1919." In exergue "You requested the peace' we are prepared to 'grant' it. Count von Brockdorff-Rantzau' head of the German --- delegation, receives the terms from Premier Clemenceau.

Reverse:  "A peace of justice, not one of force." Chancellor Scheidemann denouncing severely the terms of peace offered to Germany.

A flawless example of this rare medallion and very impressive 'in hand'.
