IMAGE LICENSING

Image Licensing provides access to our collection for educational use and scholarly research, publishing, advertising and other projects. If you are interested in obtaining a high-quality reproduction of a work of art from our collection, please read the guidelines applicable to your project prior to submitting your request. 

GENERAL INFORMATION

All requests are subject to review and approval. Based on your project or publication, we may require more information once your request has been submitted. Costs vary and will be determined based on your use, available photography and preferred delivery method.

Advance payment is required - please allow a minimum of 1-2 weeks for processing after receipt of the signed licensing agreement with full payment. Requests for ten or more images may require additional time for processing.

Some works in our collection have not been photographed. In these cases, new photography of the work can be arranged pending the approval of the curator. Please allow additional time for this service.

Works of art appearing in the images, although owned by the KarlGoetzMedals.com, may be protected by copyright, publication rights or related interests that are not owned by our site.  KarlGoetzMedals.com cannot give permission that overrides or interferes with third party rights; it is your responsibility to obtain whatever copyright or other permissions may be required from the artist, his or her agent, his or her estate or any other third party rights holder.

PUBLISHING, ADVERTISING, AND OTHER PROJECTS

To obtain photographic materials for use as part of a publication, textbook, journal, promotional campaign or other project, please review the following guidelines prior to submitting your request.

Requests must include contact information (name, address, telephone, email), specify the image(s) requested and the following information applicable to your project:

    * Publication/Project Title
    * Author
    * Publisher/Producer
    * Publication/Release Date
    * Geographic Distribution Area/Territory
    * Language(s)
    * Print Run/Circulation
    * Publication Format/Media
    * Duration
    * Image Size
    * Retail/Unit Price

For all online projects, you must provide the Internet address/URL and the duration your project will be available online.

We will provide you with one of the following for reproduction: 4x5 duplicate color transparency (subject to availability), TIFF file on CD, or a JPG by email (low-resolution images only).

We accept payment by PayPal

We ship all domestic orders standard U.S. Mail in flat, cardboard packs, unless otherwise specified.

U.S. Domestic First-Class (2-3 days) $5.00

For international orders, expedited orders or to arrange service with an alternate courier (UPS or FedEx), please provide your account number when submitting your request. If you do not have an account with an alternate courier but would like to request this option, we will add the estimated cost of shipping the package to your invoice (the fee will vary by destination).
