K-262a
1920, Cast bronze, Satirical medal, 59.2mm, 39.50g.
Obverse: Same as K-262
Reverse: The penis has had a oak tree branch and roots added to the base and shaft of the penis. The testicles have also been covered with long grasses and roots.
It is not known at this time which of the two designs were created first. It is most likely that the original piece was the K-262 while the far more rare K-262a may have been made for patrons with more discriminating tastes but still angered by the French slap in the face.
Grade: Gussfrisch (As Cast) A beautiful error free cast with Goetz' patent chocolate with caramel highlighted patina.
