Reverse: Death, personified as skeleton, to right, sharpening sword on pedal-grindstone; legend VORBEREITUNG ZUM EINTRITT IN DEN  WELTKRIEG ∾ (preparation for entrance into the world war).  Artist's initials H —— L in exergue.
