THE GOOD SAMARITAN

Obverse: In classical style, the German Michel, wounded and naked, is lying on the ground. Uncle Sam, as the samaritan, holds a bill of sale with high prices before the blank stare of Michel's eyes. A donkey, loaded with sacks and containers of foodstuffs, stands nearby. Inscription, "DER•BARMHERZIGE•SAMARITER" (The Good Samaritan). Dated, 1919 in exergue. K•GOETZ at 3:00 o'clock rim.
Reverse: A starving mother with child and four old men are lying on the ground starving behind a barbed-wire wall with "BLOCKADE" written within it's coils. On the other side of the wall relief ships loaded with foodstuffs can be seen sitting idle on the water. Inscription, "England's • Schandtat" (England's Deed of Shame.) In exergue, "Aufgehoben am 12 Juli 1919" (Lifted July 1, 1919).
This K-number is tough to find.
