Obverse:  The German Michel walks through a path of thorn bushes carrying a huge book which contains all of the rules from the Treaty of Versailles.

Reverse:  A representative sampling of the Versailles Treaty conditions as shown under a thorn in the eye. An army limited to 100,000 men; surrender of all airships; dismantling of all armament factories; surrender of the merchant fleet; payment of reparations in gold and coal; and the sentencing of war criminals.
