Obverse: English Tommy carrying a model of an armed gunboat and French soldier crouched, aiming his rifle, are almost surrounded by a Turkish crescent. Inscription: “Die Mondsüchtige auf Gallipoli” (The Lunatics in Gallipoli).
Reverse: The Tommy and French soldier are now shown as skeletons who have fallen into a battlefield trench. Star and crescent at top and bisecting the years 1915-1916″. K – G seen on left and right horizon line.
Goetz mocks the disastrous British naval and land campaign in Turkey in 1915-16.
