Obverse: Bust of Crown Prince Rupprecht, right, in military uniform and pickelhaub. Inscribed; “Rupprecht • Kroneprinz • Von • Bayern” K•GOETZ on truncation.
Reverse: Bavarian lion victorious over the Gallic coq. Inscription reads, “Schlacht in Lothringen” (Battle in Lorraine). On a small stele is inscribed; “Steg bei Dieuze – XX. Aug. MCMXIV” (Victory near Dieuze – Aug. 20, 1914.)
